She can soon be called mommy

Sometimes it just works out that way. I won't say any more but I will hope Heather will post her new experience. March 2, 2010 will be a HUGE deal in our family, a much needed one.

I KNOW I AM PRETTY CAUSE MY MAMA SAID

Here is my latest childrens book idea. I still need to finish "Hugs" but "I Know I Am Pretty 'Cause My Mama Said" is done and will someday get published, I hope.

When I was born, to my parents delight
I came to this world with eyes very bright
I had no teeth and I had no hair
But no one seemed to mind or care
All I had was a big round head
But I knew I was pretty cause my mama said

Then I got older, a few months or two
I ate my food though I couldn’t chew
It got on my face and in my hair
But no one seemed to mind or care
And I knew I was pretty with my big round head
I knew I was pretty cause my mama said

Then I started to walk with a wobble and such
I ran into things probably way too much.
I skinned my face, my elbows and knees
I was just like a monkey but cute as can be
Plus I knew I was pretty with my big round head
I knew I was pretty cause my mama said

Then walking was easy and eating was too
My teeth grew in and now I could chew
A few little teeth was all that I had
But I smiled so big; this world isn’t bad
Plus I knew I was pretty with my big round head
I knew I was pretty cause my mama said

Then my hair grew in very lightly around
I looked like a princess wearing a crown
It was messy and stood up every which way
But my parents loved me anyway
I knew I was pretty with my big round head
I knew I was pretty cause my mama said

I went to school and my teeth fell out
There were spaces all over without a doubt
I felt very silly with holes in my smile
But I was happy and knew I was loved all the while
And I knew I was pretty with my big round head
I knew I was pretty cause my mama said

When I grew tall, taller than most
I was awkward was lanky and I couldn’t boast
My mama said, “keep your shoulders held back
Keep you head held high and walk proud, don’t slack.”
I knew I was pretty with my big round head
I knew I was pretty cause my mama said

Love yourself mama said everyday of my life
Love yourself and the world will notice your stride
Love yourself no matter what others may say
Love yourself always in every which way
I knew I was pretty with my big round head
I knew I was pretty cause my mama said

My hair was real thick, my teeth white and straight
Mama said this would happen if only I‘d wait
She told me she loved me and others would too
She told me be happy, this was easy to do
Cause I knew I was pretty with my big round head
I knew I was pretty cause my mama said

Then a man came around, he loved me of course
The man of my dreams, my prince on his horse
Mama was right and I waited with ease
Because she said how happy I’d be
She told me she loved me and others would too
She told me be happy, this was easy to do
