Our little Graydee is really growing

Living in Paris

It has been two years since my last post, shame shame shame. We are now living in Paris and loving it. I am loving it, Kelly is tolerating it. We arrived on 8/24/2011 and will stay for three years, supposedly. We are leaving this weekend for London to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary. We are taking the train and hopefully going to see the musical Wicked. Maybe we will see Shrek the musical because Kelly loves Shrek the movie, all of them. I hopefully will track our stay here in Paris for future review. The best thing next to an actual journal.

She can soon be called mommy

Sometimes it just works out that way. I won't say any more but I will hope Heather will post her new experience. March 2, 2010 will be a HUGE deal in our family, a much needed one.

WHAT A SLACKER I AM

It has been a while since I have posted. We have been home now for just over a year. I have been working everyday and Kelly, bless his heart, stays home and prepares the house for me to come home at night. He is the best, he has dinner ready most nights, and always has the house nice and clean. The only thing I have to do is laundry, and that is by choice. I just like the way I do laundry. He has been working hard in the yard and it looks wonderful. I will have to take some pictures to show how hard he has been working. I was just informed I am to report to Afghanistan on May 9, 2010. We hope Kelly can come with. I have already set that possibility in motion. Sure do hope it works out.

Mother and daughter

Heather and her mom who loves her so. And yes, she is that much taller than me.

Loving America

We lived overseas for seven (7) years and have been back for almost 6 months now. We love being close to the kids and grandkids again. We have many memories from Africa, Italy, Iraq and our favorite, Australia. We have many friends we left behind but our good friends we will see again. We love comments to our posts so feel free, just keep it clean. If you notice the picture on top, it is one of God's most beautiful creatures, the dragonfly. I took this photo in Iraq. There were rockets exploding all around and this beautiful dragonfly kept hovering around me and I decided if it landed I would try and snap a picture. It landed on a bullet ridden wall so this picture has real meaning for me. Even during the worse times imaginable, God sends his beautiful creatures to give us comfort, to let us know everything will be okay. It was, I survived one full year in Iraq.
